My Favorite Mug

This is my favorite mug for coffee. Every morning I have two cups of coffee in this mug. I bought it on my honeymoon, my first trip to America, over 30 years ago. One of the things I wanted to do was eat at a typical American diner and I brought this mug back to England as a reminder of the experience.

I didn't use it as my favorite mug for a while, I had a succession of other mugs that played that role. But one by one they got chipped, cracked or otherwise lost and this mug clawed it's way up the rankings until it became my favorite. Now it is a reminder of the honeymoon, the joy of being in America, and being young more than the diner.
